The logo at the top of the page is a pen-tipped camera. I’m a storyteller. I do it wherever and however I can. It all comes down to one question: what’s the best tool at this moment with this person?

My working hypothesis began with a poem in the mountains of Colombia. Between the whispering palms, I recited a few lines to a painter heading into the deepest part of the Amazonas. He didn’t want the poetry. He needed a cameraman. A few days later, after seeing an interview I had filmed, he asked me to join him in the rainforest to document the trip.

Since then I’ve created photos and films for people who have a story to tell. A fisherman enjoying the sheen of a mackerel he’s caught under the Norwegian sun. A retired, Belgian artist trying to dig up a 40 year old, unfinished project. Or hipsters looking for a space to find community in a small German town. The portfolio presented here is a cross-section of narratives I’ve had the privilege to help tell in the last few years.

Lately, the camera’s been my tool, but if a poem is what you’re after, well, I can do that too.
